New U.S. Ambassador Arrives in Baghdad and sworn at the U.S. embassy

BAGHDAD (Iba) ... arrived in Baghdad today the new U.S. ambassador in Iraq, Robert Stephen Beecroft.
A statement from the U.S. Embassy received the independent press (Iba) a copy of Beecroft today arrived in Baghdad and was sworn in as ambassador to the United States to the Republic of Iraq in a ceremony held on this occasion at the embassy.
He added that Beecroft will present his credentials to the Foreign Ministry and President Jalal Talabani at the earliest opportunity.
Beecroft had joined for the first time the U.S. embassy in Baghdad as deputy chief of mission in the fourteenth of July / 2011, and was previously served as ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The U.S. Senate ratified the appointment of Ambassador Beecroft, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq in the twenty-second of the month of September last. (End) ..
