{Baghdad: Euphrates News} said House Speaker Osama Nujaifi during a meeting with the U.S. president's envoy deputy national security adviser U.S. Dennis Mcdonna "the need to preserve the independence of the bank and non-politicized and to ensure the tranquility of financial markets, banking and relevant international institutions."
A statement issued by the Information Office of the President of the Council that "Najafi received today Mcdonna which accompanied by the U.S. ambassador to the new United States of America in Iraq Robert Stephen Beecroft and discussed with him issues of mutual interest and that fall within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries."
He added that "the two sides emphasized the importance of giving the House of Representatives more attention in order to achieve the desired results in the installation of the pillars of democracy, as well as to strengthen its central role in the legislation of laws."
The statement said that "during the meeting, they discussed the Syrian issue and its repercussions on the region as well as ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries to serve the interests of their peoples." Ended
