{Baghdad: Euphrates News} confirmed the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary dependence on oil threatens the economic security of the country.
Said committee member Susan Saad told {Euphrates News} on Tuesday that "the country's dependence on oil is a major threat to the national economy, has been our criticism and clear and claims the existence of diversifying the sources of resources through the support of the rest areas and sectors."
He explained that "we did not note the seriousness towards diversifying sources and support the rest of the areas and sectors, both rehabilitated factories and plants, rebuilt or open the door for investment."
She stressed the need to build a strategic plan and draw the country's future economic policy not to rely on oil as the basis of resources.
