Hakeem, Shaways discuss political situation

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, discussed on Wednesday evening, July 20, with Deputy Prime Minister, Rowsch Shaways, and Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, the country’s general political situation, and the ongoing national dialogue between political blocs, in addition to the expected meeting between them to keep up dialogue.
A statement issued by the SIIC said that the meeting asserted the strong relations between the SIIC and Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and the necessity to keep up contacts for the benefit of Iraqi people.
For his part, Shaways affirmed unity of views between both sides toward solving problems hindering the political process. / End.
