Iraqi Defense Minister agency says it has signed a contract to buy 18 F16 fighter

Announced Acting Iraqi Defense Minister, on Thursday, that Iraq has signed a contract to buy his second collection of "F-16s" made in the U.S., which includes 18 fighter, in the framework of an agreement in principle to buy 36 of these jets to rebuild its air force.
Iraq has signed a preliminary agreement for 18 fighter in September of last year, worth about three billion dollars, is scheduled to be delivered this aircraft to Iraq by September 2014.
He said Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki later: "Iraq will buy twice that number."
