Fired House Speaker Osama Nujaifi initiative aims to bridge the gap in viewpoints between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, aimed at ending the crisis in the light of the growing tension between the two governments.
A statement by the Office of the President of the House of Representatives today, "said Najafi will begin a series of meetings with political leaders in Baghdad and Erbil to reach radical solutions to end the crisis and save the country from internal conflict may lead to serious consequences."
The statement added, "This initiative comes in the light of the meeting, which included the heads of political blocs today in the House of Representatives, who have been granted whereby Nujaifi a mandate to carry out a series of visits in order to calm the situation and end the dispute."
