The Ministry of Transport announced Iraqi today announced its contract with a U.S. company to set up the automatic landing system for Baghdad and Basra airports at a cost of about five million dollars.

The ministry said in a statement that "the company will also design and processing, installation and operation of optical cable specialist with the necessary accessories to connect the automated system devices for airports speed control system," noting that "the completion of the project extends to seven months."
