Support for VP as temporary minister of defense - MP

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Al-Ahrar bloc MP Jawad al-Jubouri disclosed today that his alliance supports the idea of Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi temporarily assuming the position of minister of defense.
The Sadrist Political Authority's site reported Jubouri saying that "this idea is unanimously accepted until the time that a minister is appointed."
He denied any rejection of Hashimi, because those "who voted for him as VP will renew voting for him as the temporary minister of defense."
"It is a good step to get out of the long-waited naming security ministers' crisis," he concluded.
