BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Member of the Kurdish Alliance Mahmoud Othman does not expect that the meeting due to be held tomorrow between the political blocs will take place, pointing out that Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani will not attend.
MP Othman, in a statement to Aswat al-Iraq, stated that " the political disputes continue and there has been no progress made."
He pointed out that the tripartite committee "did not submit any suggestions for the pending issues."
"If the meeting is held, nothing will be achieved.
Discussions may be held on the withdrawal of the U.S.
forces, the trimming of governmental ministries, and means of closing the gap between al-Iraqiya and the State of Law blocs," Othman added.
Concerning the Kurdish stand on the U.S.
forces withdrawal, he added that "our position shall be in harmony with the Iraqi consensus."
