Baghdad (AIN) –The Deputy Premier, Hussein al-Shihristani, assured that Iraq and Kuwait signed a mutual agreement over the joint oil fields.
A statement by Shihristani's office received by AIN on Thursday cited "Shihristani received the Kuwaiti media delegation at his office on Thursday afternoon in addition to a delegation of the Iraqi Journalist Syndicate headed by the head of the IJS, Mouaed al-Lami."
"Shihristani called the journalists of the two countries to focus on the associated interests of the two countries and convey the real image of the relation between them to forget the previous events and achieve the ambitions of the peoples of the two countries," the statement added.
"For its part, the Kuwaiti media delegation expresses its pleasure in visiting Iraq and meeting the Iraqi officials, appreciating Shihristani's hospitality," the statement concluded.
