Maliki reviews to Talabani the outcome of his visit to China

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki reviewed to President Jalal Talabani the results of his visit to China.
A statement issued on Monday, July 25, by the President’ Office said, “Talabani received on Monday evening, Prime Minister Maliki discussing Iraq’s developing relations with other countries, especially with the People’s Republic of China, which Maliki visited last week, in addition to means to solve current political problems and developing the political process, as well as consolidating national fraternal relations between all of Iraq’s components.”
In a statement to the press after the meeting, Talabani said, “Maliki talked of his visit to China that he considers successful and fruitful, it will serve Iraq; we also talked the country’s general situation, our points of view were identical.”
The statement quoted Maliki saying, “We found in China a good apportunity that can be in the benefit of Iraq; we relayed President Talabani’s message to Chana’s government to urge Chinese firms work and invest in Iraq.”
He pointed out, “We discussed issues related to the political process toward establishing common ground for agreement between political forces adhering to the political process.”
Last week Maliki visited China heading a large ministerial delegation on the invitation of China’s Prime Minister, Wen Jiabao; he also met with China’s President, Hu Jintao, discussing bilateral relations and develop them in the fields of energy, transportation, agriculture, services and investment. / End.
