Iraq and Syria begin meetings tomorrow to promote trade between the two

Baghdad, July 25 (Rn) - scheduled to begin, Iraq and Syria on the meetings of the Joint Ministerial Committee in an effort to expand trade between the two countries.
The meetings will start from tomorrow as the date the arrival of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Syria Mohamad Nedal logo to Iraq in this regard.
Syrian minister will be accompanied by seven of the aides and ministers of finance, oil, transport, industry, health and interior, in addition to about 136 businessmen to participate in meetings of the Joint Ministerial Committee of the Syrian-Iraqi.
The Director of Foreign Economic Relations and the Iraqi Ministry of Trade Hashim Mohammed Hatem told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) logo to visit aimed at strengthening commercial cooperation between the two countries.
It is expected that the visit will last about three days, during which Syrian officials are trying to address the obstacles to the promotion of trade between the two countries.
Iraq seeks to open multiple investment areas with the regional countries that have participants with economic, including Iran, Syria, Kuwait, Egypt and other countries.
Hatem pointed out that Iraq is working on coordination with the Syrian side to activate the joint memoranda of understanding.
The continuation of this round of talks held by the Business Council, the Syrian-Iraqi in Baghdad, the end of June last.
Iraq represents an important trade partner of Syria, in terms of volume of trade amounting to about three billion dollars, mostly to Syria.

These developments come after the imposition of the European Union and United States sanctions against Syria, against the backdrop of the events taking place, the procedures followed by the Syrian government enhanced growth opportunities for trade between the two countries.
