of the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of governors and heads of provincial councils
Chaired by Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki said a meeting of governors and heads of provincial councils, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Dr. Torhan Mufti and Chairman of National Investment Commission.
The sovereignty: it shall be held today to coincide with discussions in the Council of Ministers on the general budget for next year 2012, so as to know and clarify many of the points to the provinces to take in the field of construction, reconstruction and investment and to identify common points that we have reached positive results in this aspect, in order to move in the preparation of the budget.
Mr Prime Minister: We've talked in previous meetings and events about the importance of the role of the provinces in the area of reconstruction, and today we stress to activate this role and increasing the powers of all our provinces.
He stressed that the provinces need a lot of facilities, and remove the complexities and problems that hinder or disrupt its work, and in turn we will provide the necessary support so moving in its tasks properly.
Mr. Prime Minister: we find today that many projects can be forwarded to the provinces, through increased coordination and cooperation between ministries, and raise their capacity to be worthy of this task.
Sovereignty and called on local governments to move towards companies and the private sector and involve them in the process of construction, reconstruction and investment.
