Baghdad (news) .. Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said that Kuwait has agreed to receive a committee of experts will visit Kuwait for talks on the construction of the port of Mubarak.
And said Hoshyar Zebari told a news conference held in Baghdad and attended by the reporter Agency (news) on Wednesday: that arises now is to send a second committee of experts and specialists from the ministries, to Kuwait, under the chairmanship of the advisers in the Office of the Prime Minister to address this issue in line with the interests of two countries. "
And between Zebari that "the Council of Ministers expressed concern about Iraq from the port project and asked Mubarak from Kuwait to stop operations temporarily until the completion of adequate information about it,"
The foreign minister said that "the Kuwaiti side has agreed to receive the committee, which will leave as soon as possible."
And said that: Iraq is committed to international resolutions and the provisions of Chapter VII imposed on it, "adding that Iraq respects the sovereignty of Kuwait and the freedom and interests."
The government spokesman, Ali Aldbagzkr in a statement that the Iraqi government requests the Kuwaiti side to stop work pending the establishment of Port Mubarak is to make sure that the rights of Iraq in the shipping lines and sail free and safe in the shared water are not affected
He added that the Iraqi government calls on Kuwait and to maintain fraternal relations between the two countries, cooperation would be through the Iraqi in charge of following up this issue by providing the information required to access the position preserves the rights of Iraq and its people.
