Kurdistan granted Chevron Corp. U.S. share of the exploration in Garadagh oil field

Minister of wealth and natural resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government Ashti Hawrami granting the U.S. company Chevron Corp. stake in exploration Garadagh oil field, stressing that the two sides had agreed to all the conditions.
Hawrami said to reporters on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in the Swiss city of Daڤos, "The Kurdistan Regional Government granted Chevron Corp. stake in exploration Garadagh oil field," noting that "this step aims to strengthen the role of the company in the upstream sector of the region."
Hawrami said that "This project is one of the important projects and large," adding that "the two sides agreed to all the conditions."
Hawrami said the U.S. company's commitment to "severe" in all projects signed with the Government of the Territory.
The Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani met, on Thursday (January 24, 2013), on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Vice President of Chevron U.S. LG پraar, describing the company's decision to work in the region as "bold", announced his Government's support for its efforts in the development sector energy in the region.
The Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, in (January 21 2013), on the sidelines of a meeting with Chairman of the Board and CEO of Exxon Mobil Rex Tillerson, the need to be the company's activity "consistent" with the Iraqi Constitution, pointing in the same context that Iraq has created opportunities "very high" for investment, as pointed Executive Director of the company that his company will take important decisions in this area.
