Hashimi calls on Parliament’s Security, Defence Committee to objectively review security

Baghdad (NINA) – Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi, called on Parliament’s Security and Defence Committee to objectively review the country’s security situation because present plans have failed.
A statement issued on Thursday, July 28, quoted Hashimi saying, “The executive has not upgraded the performance of security agencies and not taking precautions based in accordance with professional standards, is a sign proves security failure that requires the provinces’ take over their own security, which is their right in a decentralized system and according to the Constitution.”
He added, “Fragile measures and weak plans, as well as lack of good training that facilitate security breaches, showing that terrorists have the initiative that requires concentration on preventive measures.” / End.
