bahrain refuses iraqi planes to land

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -A source within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that ”The Bahraini authorities prevented the Iraqi airplanes, that carry the fans of the Iraqi football team, from entering Bahrain.”The source reported to IraqiNews.com that ”The Iraqi airplanes received the prevention order while they were flying over the Kuwaiti territories and the Iraqi airplanes returned to Iraq without attending the match of the Iraqi team with Bahrain.”


”The Bahraini authorities even prevented its citizens from entering the stadium where the match took place due to fears of supporting the Iraqi team,” the source added.According to press reports the UAE government allocated more than (40) airplanes to transport its citizens to Bahrain to support the UAE team in the final match of the Gulf Cup 21st against the Iraqi team. \
