Preparations to activate compensation law for victims of former regime

Baghdad (AIN) –The Citizens Affairs and Public Relations Directorate within the Secretariat General of the Cabinet announced ''The Ministry of Finance dedicated the headquarter of the National Insurance Company, which is situated in Bab al-Sharqi area, to receive the transactions of the people who were affected by the former regime from the central committees in Iraqi provinces.''
The Secretariat General of the Cabinet reported in statement received by AIN that ''The Deputy Secretary General for Ministries and Provinces Affairs, Rahman Issa Hassan, has previously chaired a wide meeting with the joint central committee which was formed according to law no. (16) of 2010 related to compensating the people who were affected by the former regime.''
''The committee recommended to form a special committee to amended the law no(16) and to submit the law amendment to State Shura Council to be endorsed in order to compensate the people who were not included by the mentioned law,'' the statement added.
''The committee of citizens affairs and public relations demanded the Ministry of Finance to activate the work of the committee and to provide the suitable place to accomplish the transactions of the people involved in thecompensation law,'' the statement pointed out. \ End\
