Source: The Kurds refuse Allawi or Nijaifi succeed Talabani as President

Erbil (NINA) – Informed source close to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Massoud Barazani, said that the Kurds, under any circumstances, would not surrender the post of President.
In a statement to NINA on Saturday, Feb. 16, the source said that Speaker of Parliament went to Qatar to influence it to pressure Iran to agree that he assumes the post of President, replacing Jalal Talabani, and the Kurds are definitely reject it.
He added that Iraq's top posts and political agreements concluded between all sides stipulate that the posts of President is the Kurds share, Prime Minister the Shiites share and Speaker of Parliament is Sunnis' share.
The source went of saying that the post of President is for the Kurds and they will never relinquish it to anyone whether Ayad Allawi or Usama al-Nijaifi.
