SLC declares its support for Barzani’s call to hold meeting in Erbil

Shafaq News / State of Law coalition (SLC) led by Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki expressed on Sunday, its support to the call by the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani to hold an expanded meeting of the different Iraqi political forces to get out of the current crisis.
SLC member, Samira al-Moussawi told "Shafaq News", that "any initiative to resolve the current crisis from any party was welcomed on a condition that it would be within the framework of the Constitution and the law”.
Moussawi said that "there is a dangerous turn in the country as all the political blocs must work on not to make the current crisis continues so there must be initiatives and political movement to resolve the crisis."
“Barzani’s initiative came after a dialogue with the political blocs of the National Alliance and al- Iraqiya List," revealing “the existence of participants to resolve the crisis."
Erbil has witnessed during the past three days, an expanded political activity represented by several meetings between the President of the Kurdistan region, political leaders and the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad.
The Presidency of Kurdistan Region announced on Saturday, its call for holding an expanded meeting of the various Iraqi forces in Erbil at the end of this month.
