Mutleg, UN official review Iraq's current crisis's developments

Baghdad (AIN) -The Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg urged the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) to exert more diplomatic efforts and field movements to actively participate in resolving the political crisis in Iraq.
A statement by Mutleg's office cited that "Mutleg received the Deputy Special Representative of the UNAMI, George Posten, where they discussed the political situation in Iraq and the issue of the protests which demand for lifting injustice suffered by a large part of the Iraqi people."
The Deputy Premier stressed "The necessity of the UN's role in resolving Iraq's crisis through intensifying the diplomatic activities and the field movements."
For his part, Posten expressed the "UNAMI's worries towards escalating the current crisis in Iraq which is negatively reflected on the security posture." /End
