Hakim, Khuzai discuss political developments in Iraq

Baghdad (AIN) -The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed the Iraqi and regional political situations with the leading figure in the Dawa Party/ Iraq Organization, the Vice President, Khudhayir al-Khuzai.
A statement by the SIIC cited on Thursday "During receiving Khuzai at his office in Baghdad, Hakim stressed the necessity of maintaining the harmony and national unity in Iraq and avoiding marginalization of any political partner within the political process."
Hakim appreciated "The noteworthy efforts exerted by Khuzai through his representation for Iraq in many regional and international forums."
"The two sides discussed the internal and regional events where the SIIC's head welcomed the ratification of the federal budget," confirming that "The efforts are ongoing to reach an agreement with the Kurdistani Alliance concerning the oil sector file," according to the statement.
For his part, Khuzai pointed out that "There are many common factors and historical relations between the SIIC and Dawa Party for Iraq Organization," noting that "The mutual responsibility between the two sides is the best way to achieve good method for the mutual action by all sides of the political process." /End/
