1-million-Dinar fine for truant MPs

Shafaq News/The Iraqi Speaker decided to fine an absent parliament member a sum of one million Iraqi Dinars for each session.
A source told "Shafaq News" on condition of anonymity that "Osama al-Nujaifi, the speaker decided to held absent legislators accountable for not attending parliamentary sessions and fine them a sum up to one million Iraqi dinars starting from next Sunday".
"Moreover, names of the absente Parliament members will be published in media", the source added.
A parliamentary source reported that Thursday's session could not be held due to the lack of the quorum.
It is expected that the Council of representatives to host on Sunday the officials of the Independent High Electoral Commission to discuss the reasons behind the postponement made to provincial elections in the provinces of Nineveh and Anbar.
On the other hand the country's security leaders including the commander-in-chief, Nuri al-Maliki supposed to attend Monday's parliamentary meeting to talk about the recent security developments in Iraq.
