Turkey announced that it will play an active role in the division of Iraqi oil imports between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
He said Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said in a press statement Thursday that "Turkey will play an active role in any arrangements in Iraq on the division of crude oil export revenues between the central government and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region in the north."
He added that "Turkey is ready to support include arrangements for the central government in Baghdad on 83 percent of oil export revenues, while the rest go to the Kurdistan Regional Government."
The Turkish official said "there is not anything in that matter could worry the central Iraqi government."
The odds between Arbil and Baghdad on 41 oil contracts signed by the provincial government since 2007 until now, and you see the central government in Baghdad that any oil contract must be with their consent, and refused Kurdistan recent draft of the oil and gas law approved by the Iraqi government and sent to the House of Representatives for approval, which strongly opposed by the Kurdistan Regional Government.
