Kirkuk Governor demands to launch province's budget

Baghdad (AIN) –The Governor of Kirkuk, Najam al-Din Omar Karim, demanded the Minister of Planning and the Acting Minister of Finance, Ali al-Shukri, to launch the disbursement of the budget allocated for Kirkuk province of 2013.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Website quoted Kirkuk Governor as saying in statement received by AIN "We demand to launch the financial allocations for Kirkuk province because the services and the projects are suspended in the province.''
The governor condemned "The delay of the disbursement of financial allocations under the pretext of conducing elections since the elections will not take place in Kirkuk province.''
"The Governor considered delaying the disbursement of the financial allocations of the Iraqi provinces under the pretext of taking advantage from it for electoral purposes as non-justified and creates confusion,'' he added. \END\
