A senior political source revealed for Jordan to pay a commission to export Iraqi oil to Israel via its territory, to three influential people in the Iraqi government, one of them the son of prominent politician and controversial holding the helm almost, he said, adding that this commission is paid as a reward or money laundering.
The source said that "trade agreement between Iraq and Jordan do not include transfers of Iraqi oil to Israel, but the Jordanian government to pay financial rewards to three influential people in the Iraqi government, one of them the son of prominent politician and controversial holding the helm," he says. The source pointed out that "Jordanian intelligence is the mediator who runs the work for a commission of up to 12 percent compared to the management of all things official and signed with Israel and the non-disclosure of Iraqi parties and hide for fear of using it as a clear condemnation."
Jordan currently imports about ten thousand barrels of Iraqi crude oil at preferential prices (a difference of less than $ 18 for the world price of a barrel) accounted for 10 percent of its oil needs, most of which are imported from Saudi Arabia. With Jordan and Iraq signed on the first Tuesday a framework agreement to build a pipeline to carry Iraqi crude oil from Basra to export terminals in the port of Aqaba, the far south of the Kingdom on the Red Sea coast. Observers expect that agreement to extend the pipeline to the port of Aqaba will secure the flow of Iraqi oil to Israel after boycott lasted for more than five decades ago.
