Kayani confirms rejecting nominating Barzani for another term

Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Mohamed Kayani, of Taghyeer opposition bloc confirmed “We rejected nominating the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, for another term because there a law that limits the Presidency of the Region to two terms.”
He stated to AIN “The law of Kurdistan Region does not allow the President to be nominated for more than two terms so this law must respected.”
He concluded “We have valid laws that must be adhered to and we are not targeting Barzani but the law is applicable to all.” /End/
