Trade Organization cut its forecast for 2013 after a weak performance in 2012
WTO lowered its forecast for trade growth in 2013 to 3.3 percent from 4.5 percent on Wednesday and said that growth in 2012 did not exceed Monday percent, the lowest annual increase since the start of recording data in 1981.
He warned Pascal Lamy, Director-General of the Organization of that 2013 may be worse than expected, especially in light of the risks posed by the euro crisis and said that states may try to impose further restrictions on trade in a bid to boost economic growth.
"The threat of trade protectionism may be even more dangerous now than at any time since the beginning of the crisis after the failure of other policies to restore growth."
