Erbil (NINA) – Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, said that the region is ready to deal with all problems through dialogue and understandin.
A statement issued on Wednesday, Apr. 17, quoted Nechirvan Barzani during his meeting with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, Martin Kobler, saying tha the Region's Government is ready for any meeting to discuss all outstanding issues. He stressed that Kurdistan Region did not reject any opportunity for dialogue to deal with outstanding issues; it is always open for dialogue.
He stressed the necessity that all of Iraq's components fell they are genuinely participating in the political process.
For his part, Martin thanked the Region's stance and its understanding of the situation in Iraq, asserting that the UN will exert its utmost efforts to actively act in dealing with outstanding issues in Iraq and to improve the political process.
In the meeting, developments in Syria and their effects on Iraq and the area are also discussed, in addition to the Region's relations with neighboring countries. / End.
