Karbala Council: al-Maliki ordered the lifting of the curfew for the maintenance during the month of Ramadan

Head of the provincial council in Karbala, 108 km southwest of the capital Baghdad, Prime Minister Omralthelathae, lifting nighttime curfew for the city during the month of Ramadan to facilitate the access of visitors to the thresholds for a Ramadan ritual.
Mohammed Hamid al-Moussawi told (Voices of Iraq) today, said that "Karbala is characterized as one of the cities that remain vigilant until the morning hours during the month of Ramadan, the sacred and the existence of thresholds that allow the establishment of prayers and reading the Koran and the establishment of Ramadan religious rituals."
"These rituals require that visitors arrive from all over Iraq to Karbala and to a zone between the two shrines as well as the revival of the city dotted with mosques," he said, adding that "there was a curfew imposed on the city for years starting from the twelve o'clock at night and ends at five in the morning. "
