Baghdad (AIN) -The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani discussed on Thursday with head of the Iraqiya Slate, Aiyad Alawi, the recent developments on the Iraqi political scene.
A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) reported "The meeting discussed the recent events in Iraq where Alawi's delegation informed Barzani about its perspectives towards the latest political updates."
"Barzani discussed with the delegation, Kurdistan leaders' attitudes towards the current situation in Iraq, stressing "It is unacceptable to marginalize any Iraqi components, referring to the necessity of not giving space for power manipulation by any side," according to the statement.
"Both parties emphasized the importance of the coordination, partnership and balance in the political process and avoid pushing the security forces in the political problems of the country," the statement concluded
