The governor of Nineveh Liberation of Iraq: "to call for decentralization were present at the proceedings of the Conference of the 16 Arab cities in Doha"

Co-governor of Nineveh province Liberation of Iraq in the Acts of the Conference of the 16 Arab cities of the Organization of Arab cities in the Qatari capital, Doha, in the presence of an actor for more than 100 Arab city, including several Iraqi cities.

He said Najafi said the conference saw clear direction to the decentralization of urban development through Mathaddt by the participants, particularly from the Maghreb, as touched to the importance of decentralization in the development of cities, and it is one of the ways to prevent fragmentation, and the entire Arab world heading towards decentralization strongly.

However, Najafi said: "so are not alone who demand to expand the powers," he continued, "what was possible to accomplish in the past through decisions centralized, is no longer possible with the need for development and advancement, taking into account the different needs and possibilities by cities and provinces, but should be expanded powers of cities within the same province and central planning remains a pilot and a supportive and advisory not a guideline governor ".

The Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Khalifa al-Thani, Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Qatar, welcomed the delegations to the General Conference of the Sixteenth Arab Towns Organization, expressed his happiness broad participation enjoyed by the conference of Arab cities, institutions, and regional and international bodies, making it a conference distinct and a milestone in the Biography of municipal work.
