United Nations adopts resolution condemning Syria, by 107 votes

(Newsletter).The General Assembly approved the United Nations resolution condemning Syria 107 to intercept 12 countries including Russia with 59 countries abstained from voting.
China objected and Bolivia and Ecuador, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, Belarus, North Korea, Cuba and Iran.
The resolution: the General Assembly welcomes the establishment of the national coalition of Syrian opposition as it pivots and representative is necessary for the process of political transition.
Of the Syrian opposition coalition welcomed the decision of the General Assembly, said in a statement: the United Nations vote was a clear message from the international community to the Assad regime to halt its brutal repression of the Syrian revolution.
According to opponents of the resolution: that undermined support for dialogue and may lead to increased violence, in light of the growing Al-Qaida activity in Syria.
