Diwaniya (AIN) –Hundreds of municipal councils’ members staged a sit-in in front of the Parliament Office in Diwaniya province to protest the delay of paying their salaries.
The reporter of AIN said that ''Hundreds of municipal councils’ members staged a sit-in in front of the Parliament Office in Diwaniya province under the title of (Beginning of the Road),” noting that “The demonstrators were calling to reimburse their late salaries for the last 13 months.”
The demonstrators conducted their Friday prayers in front of the Iraqi Parliament office in Diwaniya province, led by Sheikh Hussein al-Awadi who emphasized that the demonstrators have got fed up from the promises of the government for more than a year.'' /End/
