Kurdistan supported the convening of an extraordinary session
18/05/2013 19:48

Kurdistan Alliance announced on Saturday its support for the convening of an extraordinary session to discuss recent security breaches in Baghdad and other provinces.

A spokesman for the Alliance MP pro-Tayeb said that "the Kurdistan Alliance will attend the special meeting called by House Speaker Osama Najafi," explaining, "notes that the deterioration of the security situation in Baghdad and other provinces always coincides with the escalation of political differences between the political parties."

"We hope the rest of the political blocs to meet suit the convening of the special session in the presence of security leaders," noting that "the existence of militias and armed groups amid the political differences between the blocks and the weakness of the security services meet all the reasons and lead to a deterioration of security."

This is called the Council of Representatives Speaker Osama Najafi to hold an emergency meeting next Tuesday to discuss the deterioration of security that the country is going through.
