Baghdad/ NINA /-- Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq met in his office today Bert Makourk, the Senior Advisor for the U.S. State Department.
Mutlaq's media office said in a press statement : "The two sides discussed during the meeting, bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington and the strategic importance of activating the agreements between the two sides, and developments in the region, particularly events in Syria.
Makourk stressed the position of Washington to support the Iraqi people in his efforts to achieve stability, calling on the Iraqi political parties to do more in order to unify the Iraqi positions.
