Parliamentary Committee on Economics: next week the second reading of Bill infrastructure

Baghdad, August 7 / August (Rn) - A commission of economy and investment parliamentary Sunday that the draft law of the infrastructure will be put to second reading in the House next week after completion of the introduction of amendments by three parliamentary committees.
The Iraqi Council of Representatives had previously rejected a bill infrastructure made by the then government to grant companies a great investment for infrastructure projects worth 70 billion dollars in a deferred payment at the time were many of the industrialized world which is undergoing a lot of money.
Under the draft law on the implementation of new infrastructure, particularly foreign companies, including Korean infrastructure projects, such as schools, hospitals, water projects, in a payment on credit by $ 35 billion U.S..
It is assumed the House of Representatives debate on the bill a month in July after the last transmission by the government, but was delayed introduction of the congestion of the agenda bills task according to the opinion of members of the Parliamentary Commission of Economy.
A member of the Commission Salman al-Moussawi, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "three parliamentary committees are nearing the completion of the amendments to the draft law on the infrastructure that has been read a first reading in the House of Representatives earlier time."
He explained that Moussaoui "The bill put to a second reading in the House next week," he said, adding that "the delay in the vote on the bill is meant to introduce amendments to it by the committees of the economy, finance, construction and services."
Iraq suffers from dilapidated infrastructure sectors in the overall result of long years of siege and war during the last two decades of the last century.
Despite the passage of eight years to topple the former Iraqi regime, the Iraqi government was unable to provide basic public services for citizens, often protesting the lack of it.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in early May last that the House of Representatives expressed its response to the draft law passed the infrastructure at half the cost of the project the previous law, which he described al-Maliki at the time as "a way out of the financial crisis experienced by the country."
The Iraqi government acknowledged the beginning of January last, the general budget for 2011 of $ 82.6 billion worth of deficit amounted to 12 billion dollars, will be covered by the amounts retained from the previous year's budget and borrow internally and externally.
