Maliki and Barzani: We have reached solutions on outstanding issues

As part of attempts to resolve the outstanding problems between Iraq's Kurdistan region and the central government, arrived in the region President Massoud Barzani official visit to Baghdad this morning (Sunday) at the head of a high-level delegation including a number of party leaders and Kurdish officials in the Government of the Territory.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in a joint news conference with Barzani said the visit resulted in an agreement to resolve several outstanding issues; of the most prominent of Article 140, and a general census of the population, and the law change provincial boundaries, as well as the issue of oil, and the Peshmerga, and security issues, the joint between the province and the Centre.
For his part, Barzani said that the agreement which took place today between Arbil and Baghdad to move towards the text to take practical steps to resolve the outstanding problems and activate the joint committees that have been formed earlier, he said, adding that all disputes between the central government and the provincial government will be resolved by the Constitution.
Already Barzani's visit to Baghdad several mutual visits between the Governments of the center and the region ends by announcing agreements to resolve the problems, but the tension between the two sides was usually back at a later time. In this context, political analyst and confident Hashemi said the rapprochement between Baghdad and Erbil comes in an attempt to reduce the pressure exerted on Barzani within the region not to extend his mandate, as well as that Maliki is the other tries to revive the old alliances away after most of his allies. Hashemi refers to the need to be announced for any future agreements between Baghdad and Erbil in a transparent manner, especially with regard to oil and file of Article 140.
