Zebari meets EU Political & Security Committee in Brussels

Baghdad (AIN) -The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, met the Political and Security Committee of the European Union at the headquarters of the European Union Council in Brussels.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by AIN cited “Minister Zebari reviewed the developments in Iraq's political status and changes taking place in the region as well as Iraq's position towards these changes.”
It is worth mentioning that the Political and Security Committee is entrusted in the decision making and positions taken by the EU on matters of international peace and security.
“The meeting was attended by all the 28 ambassadors and representatives accredited to the EU. During the meeting, a debate took place in which Minister Zebari responded to the inquiries made by the Ambassadors about the political, security, economic, and regional status and human rights,” the statement concluded.
