Iraq has raised the official selling prices of its Basra Light and Kirkuk crude oil in August to all customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, the State Oil Marketing Organization said Thursday.
The price of Basra Light for delivery to customers in the U.S. in August was raised $0.15 a barrel to $1.55 a barrel below the Argus Sour Crude Index, or ASCI. In July it was $1.70 a barrel below ASCI, SOMO said.
Basra Light crude's August delivery price to European buyers was raised $0.30 a barrel to $2.95 a barrel below dated Brent. It was $3.25 a barrel below dated Brent the previous month.
The August price of Basra Light to customers in Asia was raised $0.15 a barrel to $0.35 a barrel below the average Oman/Dubai quotes. In July it was $0.50 a barrel below the average Oman/Dubai prices.
Iraq also raised the price for Kirkuk crude oil in August to customers in the U.S. and Europe, SOMO said.
Kirkuk crude destined for U.S. market in August was raised $2.10 a barrel to $1.10 a barrel above ASCI compared with a discount of $1.00 a barrel in the previous month. For European customers, the August price of Kirkuk crude was raised $0.20 a barrel to $1.90 a barrel below dated Brent compared with a discount of $2.10 a barrel in the previous month.
