Maliki calls for mobilizing all efforts to defeat the sectarian plan

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki called for mobilizing all efforts to defeat the sectarian plan that it being executed in the area.
Maliki called also on the Iraqis to stand together in facing this plan that it attempting to penetrate national unity.
A statement issued on Monday, Aug. 5, by the Prime Minister's Office quoted Maliki in a television interview, to be telecasted later, saying that the terrorists intend to win over the Iraqis' will and strength, but they will loss and we will confront them and their supporters. He pointed out that the ongoing military operations in and around Baghdad are achieving progress and are destroying terrorists' strong hold and hideouts.
As for the situation in Syria, Maliki said that we have warned from terrorist groups in Syria saying that they represent threat to its territorial unity, as well as its national unity, including the Kurds, whom I urge them not to support the terrorists and their backers. / End.
