MP: Passing controversial laws guarantee stability

BAGHDAD / NINA / The MP, of the Kurdistan Alliance, Qassim Mohammed Qassim said "passing controversial laws in parliament is the guarantee to promote stability in the country."
He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency/ NINA / "What the country is seeing from the negative situation, especially the security file, urgently needs to activate the work of the legislative and executive powers to ensure the strengthening of stability and positive orientation to activate the various sectors for the better."
He added: "activating the work of the Parliament requires passing controversial laws, which concern the citizen's life, including the oil and gas law, which will define the powers of the federal government and the Kurdistan region in the field of oil."
Many important laws are still waiting for political consensus between the various blocs in order to be approved such parties' laws, oil and gas, accountability and justice, the criminalization of the Baath and infrastructure. / End
