Baghdad (AIN) –The Foreign Ministry announced that the term of Iraq as the head of the current term of the World Disarmament Conference is over.
A statement by the FM received by AIN cited "The decision entitled, Forming a Team to set the Agenda of the WDC, was done after holding several meetings for two months and since the Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, inaugurated the conference and started the chairmanship of Iraq for it."
"Zebari assured that the importance of this decision lies in its contribution in sustaining the international peace and security," the statement added.
"The Iraqi team was highly appreciated and congratulated for the achievement that it had due to its diplomatic efforts," the statement concluded. /End/
