Iraq participates in meetings of the World Tourism Organization in Victoria Falls

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, on Friday, that Iraq will participate in the meetings of the twentieth session of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) held in Zambia.
The ministry said in a press statement received "Awan" a copy of "Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Brigade Sumaisem announced Iraq's participation in the meetings of the twentieth session of the Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in Victoria Falls on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe for the period from 24 to 29 of this month."
The statement added that "the minister arrived here, the waterfalls area between Zambia and Zimbabwe to share high-level delegation of 156 participating countries Arab and foreign countries to discuss a number of issues relating to tourism."
The minister said according to the statement that "Iraq heads the Middle East in the organization as well as contributing actors in other committees," adding that "Iraq supports the international organization in a lot of positions and unlimited support her financially and morally in order to promote tourism in the countries of the world, including Iraq."
He added that "the meeting includes discussion of many issues concerning the tourism sector, including the Silk Road, which passes Iraq on the road passing through the southern city of Basra and the Persian Gulf, India and China"
