Inaugurated by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, on Thursday, Specialist Center for treatment of cancerous tumors in the province of Babylon, as he visited the teaching hospital in the province, which includes more than 450 beds.
An official statement said, received "Awan" that al-Maliki "stressed that the Centre Specialist is the most advanced in Iraq and the region and will receive special cases from all parts of Iraq, especially the Middle Euphrates region," adding that "it is the first in this area and there are similar centers will be completed soon in the provinces of Anbar and Basra. "
The statement added that al-Maliki "revealed near the end of the work of ten major hospitals are built with modern specifications and equipped with the latest types of health devices, the end of this year," he said, adding that "these hospitals are distributed on the different governorates of Iraq to be a substitute for the old hospital."
According to the statement, the Prime Minister called for "urged the pace of in order to provide better services to citizens," pointing out that "there has been some delay in the opening of such health centers."
The prime minister demanded local governments to "take advantage of the additional powers that had been granted in order to accelerate the rates of work," praising "the Iraqi experience." He said, "The Ministry of Health confirmed to us that it has the necessary competencies to run these hospitals and the use of modern devices," and expressed "hope that the creation of a quantum leap of health services provided to citizens soon," according to the statement.
Maliki said that "equipment and advanced medical devices in various fields entered Iraq," explaining that "the Ministry of Health will be distributed to health centers and put them in the service of the citizen, and that it would help to reduce costs and that the Iraqis are not forced abroad for treatment."
