Concluding the Conference sponsored by the House Thursday by issuing a number of important recommendations, where delegates stressed at the end of the Conference, which lasted for three days with more than 200 Iraqi political and personal, foreign, economic and social reforms under the sustainable development plan for the future of Iraq and interrelated roles and mutual support between the Government and the economic and social partners in formulating and implementing reforms, Add to stress the important role of the private sector a key partner in the economic and social development and sustainable growth-generating employment and participatory and effective role played by social dialogue in promoting national process leading to reform University is compatible in a democratic State.
The Conference recommended the establishment of tripartite consultation mechanism based on the principles of social dialogue made up of government representatives, employers, and workers to continue working together for the effective application of economic and social development in Iraq, in addition to supporting economic reform laws, employment and investment (rate), as well as other economic reforms and other relevant laws that support national goal in creating a favourable economic environment Private sector development and growth generator of employment and decent work.
The recommendations focused on the need to support national employment policy adopted by the Council of Ministers in August 2010 in line with the national development plan, and invited to participate in consultations on reform of the public distribution system to ensure recovery of the agricultural sector and food manufacturing industries, including the promotion of rural employment opportunities for men and women with ensuring the provision of food to the most vulnerable to poverty and vulnerability.
The recommendations also called for a tripartite Committee to follow up and implement and activate the document issued by the Conference, to complete its work during the period of 12 months, in addition to providing substantive support and international cooperation from ILO and other organizations of the Committee and enable it to fulfil its obligations under the terms of reference.
