She appealed to the mission by the Iraqi government to "adopt a decision to stop all executions pursuant to resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations 62/149 for the year 2007 and 63/168 for the year 2009 and 65/205 in 2010 and to consider the ratification of the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, with a view to abolishing the death penalty in Iraq. "
