Baghdad (newsletter).Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussein Al-Shahristani, said Wednesday that China is seeking to buy about 850,000 barrels of oil a day from Iraq.
To buy China 568 thousand barrels of oil this year, up from 525,000 barrels a day in 2012.
Al-Shahristani said that luck toward Iraq because it has always had applications to export more than it imported.
He added that Iraq has so far received a request from the Chinese companies to export about 850,000 barrels a day and will receive more requests.
As noted, an important global energy Conference in South Korea, to the Iraq completed maintenance work on the southern oil ports and export level at 2.5-2.6 million barrels this month.
