Hungary intends to open consulate in Erbil

Erbil (NINA) – Head of Kurdistan Region's Foreign Relations Department, Falah Mustafa, discussed with Hungary's Ambassador to Iraq, Tibor Zatmari, the relations between Kurdistan Region and Hungary and the opening of a Hungarian Consulate in the Region.
A statement issued on Tuesday, Oct. 22, by the Government of Kurdistan Region said that Mutstafa met with the Hungarian diplomat in Erbil discussing a number of issues, including helping the Syrian refuges and preparations for a Foreign Relations and Diplomacy course to be held in Hungary.
For his part, the Hungarian Ambassador described the opening of his country's consulate in the Region is a positive step toward consolidate relations between the two.
