Maliki's visit to US is a step in the right direction to combat terrorism

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the advisers in the Council of Ministers, Thamer al-Ghadhban considered the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to the United States, late this month as "a step in the right direction for the stability and the fight against terrorism in the region."
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / " The current Iraqi policy is clear, which is keen to strive to spread security and stability in the region through the cooperation of all countries, especially neighboring countries in the fight against terrorism and eliminate it ."
He added that " this policy was clear during the visit of the recent Turkish parliamentary delegation to Iraq, which is a step in this direction, because the relations between the two countries is very important and there is an effort to improve and develop it for the better as Iraq's policy is clear to non-intervention in others' affairs and establishing good neighborly with it and the others."
